- STUDY ON DEATH MECHANISM OF DOMESTIC SEWAGE BACTERIA IN SEA-WATER I. BACTERICIDAL EFFECT OF MARINE BACTERIA IN JIAO-ZHOU BAY ON BACTERIA IN SEWAGE
- 摘要:从胶州湾采得的水样和泥样中分离到105株海洋细菌,并分别测试了其对污水细菌的抑菌能力.在60株革兰氏阳性海洋细菌中,有17株芽孢杆菌属(Bacillus)和5株微球菌属(Micrococcus)的菌株具有抑制革兰氏阳性污水菌的能力.而所测试的45株革兰氏阴性海洋细菌都不具有对污水菌的抑菌能力.实验进一步发现,凡具有抑菌能力的海洋细菌培养物中,都含有一类能抑制或杀死污水菌的抗菌素物质.这一结果提示了污水细菌进入海水后迅速死亡的原因之一,可能是因为在海水中普遍存在着由海洋微生物生命活动过程中产生的这类抗菌素物质所引起的.
- Abstract:105 species and strains of marine bacteria have been tested to demonstrate their antibiotic activity against nonmarine forms. Majority of the species which exhibit inhibitory process are members of Gram-positive genuera Bacillus and Micrococcus.The cultures with antibiotic activity after being centrifuged also possess inhibitory process in the supernatant liquid layer. It is considered possible the way that certain substance having inhibitory or antibiotic process in sea-water may cause prompt death of bacteria in sewage when flowing into the sea.
