- A STUDY ON ABSORPTION OF LEAD AND VARIATION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF TWO RELATED ENZYMES IN YOUNG ROOTS OF ZEA MAYS
- 摘要:经组织化学的方法研究证明,玉米幼根对铅的吸收经过了两条通道,即自由空间通道和共质体通道。测定玉米幼根吸收铅后ATP酶及酸性磷酸酶活性的变化,发现铅使共质体中这两种与能量代谢有关的酶活性增强,从而提出存在主动运输可能的设想。本文采用的组织化学方法,也可作为铅污染的生物监测方法。
- Abstract:Two pathways, the "free space" and the "symplast", of absorption and translocation of lead into young roots of Zea mays were demonstrated by using histochemical method. The variation of activities of ATPase and acid phosphatase was also determined after the lead absorption. The activities of the two enzymes related to energy metobolism in symplast eould be increased by lead implying an active transportation mechanism. The histochemical method adopted in the present investigation can also be applied in biomonitoring for lead pollution.
