- Abstract:Foa and F z1 with high specific growth rates were screened from the products (NtrSmr) of protoplast fusion between Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroids P9479 (NtrSms) and Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y9407 (NtsSmr).The acid tolerance of both the fusants was approximate to that of Y9407 .The thermal tolerance of the fusant Foa was approximate to that of Y9407 , but that of Fz1 was approximate to that of P9479 .The flocculation rate of the fusants in the medium was better than, or lay between that of their parents.In soybean processing wastewater fermentation system, the flocculation rate of the fusant Fz1 was higher than that of the parents.The observation growth yield Yobs , and the biomass yield ΔX, were higher than those of P9479 , and lower than those of Y9407.The BOD5 removal rates and the volume removal loading rates Uv were higher than, or lay between that of their parents.The specific degradation rates q , and the biological loading rate Ub were higher than those of Y9407 , and lower than those of P9479 .
