微波辐照技术在活性炭脱硫中的应用

- 摘要:采用微波辐照技术对煤质活性炭进行加热, 研究了不同的微波功率、辐照时间和样品粒径等因素对活性炭脱硫性能的影响, 找出了合适的处理条件。 同时, 将改性活性炭和原炭对SO2的吸附和催化性能做了比较, 说明了微波辐照活性炭具有比原炭更好的吸附和催化性能。 采用氮气吸附仪、pH精密酸度计、XPS、元素分析等测试了改性活性炭和原炭的物理化学性能:活性炭的表面积和孔结构没有显著改变; 活性炭的脱硫性能与活性炭的pH值有着一定的关系; 具有较低氧含量和较高的氮含量的活性炭具有较好的脱硫活性。
- Abstract:Coal-based activated carbon (AC) is treated in a flow of N2 gas by a microwave-heating device instead of a conventional furnace in order to increase the SO2 adsorption capacity on the activated carbon. The influences of different modification conditions, such as microwave power, radiation time and particle diameter, on desulfurization capability are studied. The optimal modification condition is found. At the optimal condition, the adsorption and catalysis ability for SO2 on the treated AC and the untreated AC is compared. The result shows that the treated AC has better SO2 adsorption and catalysis ability. The mechanism on microwave treatment for modification of AC and on SO2 adsorption and catalysis ability is discussed based on nitrogen adsorption, XPS and element analysis, and pH measurement. During microwave treatment, the surface area and porous structure of treated AC have not changed remarkably, and most oxygen-containing groups are decomposed from the surface of the carbon, which in turn gives rise to a relative increase in the pH value of the carbon. Only a few minutes are required to decrease oxygen content and increase nitrogen content in carbon. Consequentially.
